New patent further strengthens global intellectual property estate supporting Nanopharmaceutics ‘s lead program Triapine® in pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma

ALACHUA, FL, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Nanopharmaceutics, Inc., a clinical-stage pharmaceutical development company, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued U.S. Patent No. 12,723,026, titled, “Compositions and Methods for Oral Delivery of Crystalline Triapine.” The issued patent includes 30 claims related to oral formulations of Triapine®, methods of manufacturing Triapine®, as well as using Triapine® compositions to treat cancer. Nanopharmaceutics’ partner Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP served as patent counsel.
Oral Triapine® is currently in two active clinical studies in combination with peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) for metastatic neuroendocrine tumors and two active clinical studies with temozolomide and radiation for glioblastoma:
