Hormones and Wellness by SDBotox Rebrands as SDBody

Hormones and Wellness by SDBotox, the physician-led hormone and wellness practice founded by Dr. Shawn Vedamani, MD, and Dr. Alex Roher, MD, has changed its name to SDBody. The practice continues to see patients at its two existing clinics in Mission Hills and La Jolla under the same physicians and the same lead medical provider, according to Dr. Vedamani, Co-Founder and Medical Director.

The change gives the hormone and wellness practice a name separate from the cosmetic clinic Dr. Roher opened in 2012. The wellness side of the business had operated under the SDBotox name until this year, sharing that brand with the cosmetic practice. The two businesses now carry distinct identities, with the cosmetic clinic continuing under the SDBotox name.

The rebrand covers the practice’s name, signage, website and business listings. A new website at sdbody.com replaces the former Hormones by SDB site, and each clinic now maintains its own Google listing under the updated name.Hours and directions for both offices are posted on the practice’s locations page.

Nothing about the clinics themselves changes with the name. Both offices remain open at their current addresses, the phone numbers are unchanged, and the same clinical team continues to handle appointments at each location. According to the practice, the change is limited to naming, signage and web presence, and patients who were seeing a provider under the former name continue with that provider.

“The name SDBody reflects what we actually do, which is evaluate and care for the whole body, and it gives the practice a name that stands on its own,” said Dr. Vedamani. “Patients who found us through SDBotox will see the same doctors and the same team. What changes is the sign on the door and the website, not the way we practice.”

Dr. Vedamani is a board-certified anesthesiologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience and serves as Medical Director. Dr. Roher, also a board-certified anesthesiologist, remains in active practice and co-founded the new practice after more than a decade running the cosmetic clinic. Brooke Stearns, PA-C, serves as Lead Medical Provider and brings nearly ten years of clinical experience to the team.

The practice describes its structure as two physicians and a physician assistant, with clinical evaluation, lab review, and follow-up handled by that team at both locations. Service categories, and which of them are available at each clinic, are listed on the individual location pages of the new site.

The redesigned website organizes its content by how a visitor describes feeling rather than by treatment name. It also includes provider profiles, a how-it-works page and a booking form. The site notes that care is provided under physician supervision and that information on the site is general rather than medical advice.

“We wanted the website to start where the patient starts, which is usually a symptom and not a treatment name,” said Dr. Roher, Co-Founder. “The rebrand gave us the chance to rebuild it around that.”

Consultation requests for either clinic are submitted through the booking page on the site, where a visitor selects a preferred clinic and an area of interest.
