Eleven organizations receive funding for education, early detection, navigation and survivorship programs; Florida’s End Breast Cancer license plate helps make grants possible

The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation (FBCF) has awarded $146,440 in 2026–2027 Education Grants to 11 organizations across Florida, supporting programs designed to educate, empower and connect Floridians with critical breast cancer information, resources and support.
The grants will help fund initiatives ranging from breast cancer education and self-advocacy to patient navigation, prevention, early detection and survivorship support, including programs specifically designed to reach rural and underserved communities.

“These organizations are doing extraordinary, life-changing work in communities throughout Florida, often reaching people who might otherwise face breast cancer without the information, support or resources they need,” said Karen Patti, Executive Director of the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. “We are incredibly proud to invest in organizations that are on the front lines every day, making sure Floridians facing breast cancer are informed, supported and never left to navigate the journey alone.”

FBCF’s grantmaking is made possible in part through everyday actions by Floridians. Funding comes from purchases of Florida’s End Breast Cancer specialty license plate, voluntary contributions made when obtaining or renewing a Florida driver license or vehicle registration, and contributions from Pickups for Breast Cancer.

“These contributions allow us to put resources directly into Florida communities and support programs that are making a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer,” said Ms. Patti.
