Keynote Exploration at Kennedy Space Center for CommHIT26
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL, UNITED STATES, September 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Tony Award recipient, five-time GRAMMY® nominated artist, #1 New York Times Best Selling author, and the most globally celebrated performer and preservationist of the Great American Songbook, Michael Feinstein and Dr. Kendra Siler, CEO of CommHIT, will collaborate at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center December 10–11 for CommHIT26, a two-day presentation focused on preventive care, mental performance, and human-centered innovation.
The event includes a symposium on CommHIT and its partners, and will culminate in the World Premiere concert, Michael Feinstein – Music Forms Memories (MFM), a new artistic-scientific platform harnessing the proven relationship between music, memory, cognition, emotional well-being, and human connection during every stage of life. In further news, icon Liza Minnelli is confirmed as a CommHIT Ambassador for the program, with a special emphasis on Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Minnelli’s lifelong struggle with SUD is the focus of the #1 global best-selling book, “Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!”
MFM was created by Feinstein in association with his partners, Carrberry Companies and being launched exclusively by CommHIT. The initiative is represented by Carrberry Companies for CommHIT and Feinstein, in association with v2 Entertainment Group.
“Everyone at CommHIT, led by Dr. Siler, colleagues and partners, is actively engaging in the impact of MFM. Our mission is critical. We serve people at every stage of life, and are bringing care to rural Florida in innovative ways. Science proves music accompanies memories from before birth, through the final chapters of our lives. This is the most important work of my life,” said Feinstein.
“CommHIT26 is an interactive, human-centered experience where health and technology leaders coordinate care systems in ways that support people’s health and well-being at home. This year, Michael’s leadership shows how memory, connection, and emotional clarity can strengthen all forms of care at every age across CommHIT Everywhere. Music Forms Memories isn’t an addition to CommHIT’s work – it’s woven into our healthcare tapestry from the start,” said CommHIT CEO Dr. Kendra Siler.
Feinstein is Founder & Chief Memory Officer of Music Forms Memories (MFM), which reflects his artistry, knowledge and leadership in shaping MFM’s vision, cultural mission, and approach to the role music plays in memories, connection, and care.
A Two-Day Experience at the Intersection of Care, Creativity, and Performance
On December 10, Feinstein and Dr. Siler will lead the MFM Keynote Exploration, a fireside-style experience examining the verified impact of music on cognition at every age, and the developing research, programs, and technologies leading the initiative
.
Music and memory are often associated with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, in which music can produce extraordinary responses. MFM is intentionally broader. From preschool through end of life care, our mission explains how music supports cognition, emotional health, resilience, identity, and human connection.
MFM is for children, adolescents and adults in every circumstance: whether cognitive health is good or challenging, whether living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, veterans, people facing PTSD, Substance Use Disorder (SUD) experiencing chronic illness; undergoing demanding treatment and recovery, including chemotherapy and dialysis, caregivers and families, as well as those of us facing physical, psychological or emotional transitions, especially in underserved populations.
The Keynote Exploration will complement CommHIT26 programming focused on technologies and layered, closed-loop approaches that help people stay healthier in their communities and homes.
Much of the day will explore CommHIT Everywhere, CommHIT’s preventive and out-of-hospital care infrastructure. Across rural Florida, more than 70 clinical, government, technology, and community partners are advancing the work through CommHIT’s $44.9+ million Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) subaward. CommHIT Everywhere is designed to connect these partners into a coordinated safety net across 36 rural counties, strengthening early intervention and continuity of care. Co-hosts include the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration and First There First Care. City-specific program rollout details will be announced soon.
The two-day program will include live streaming, a CommHIT inaugural awards ceremony, VIP reception, demonstrations,
